Job Opportunity: RN - Behavioral Health

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Geriatric Psychiatric
Number of Beds: 9
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 2 RNs, 2 Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Sitters as assigned
- Night Shift: 1 RN, 2 BHTs, Sitters as assigned
Patient Ratios: 5-9 patients per nurse
Equipment Used: Vital signs machine, Hoyer lift, glucometer, IVs, bladder scanner, bed alarms, chair alarms, crash cart
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Required Qualifications

Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in nursing specialty (Behavioral Health)
Skills:
- Behavioral health and medical experience
- Caring and compassion
- Strong assessment skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Critical thinking
