Job Opportunity: RN Internal Medicine (Outpatient Services)
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Internal Medicine, primarily outpatient and/or primary care settings
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- No nights, weekends, or holidays required
- Start Date: February 23 or ASAP
- Shared housing available (restrictions: no pets or guests)
- Car required for the position
- Current flu vaccine required
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: RN Outpatient Services / Internal Medicine
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years (based on job description preference for primary care and outpatient experience)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Credentials & Certifications
- BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) preferred; Red Cross accepted in some cases
- Professional Nursing License: Must be verified through primary sources (NURSYS and Board of Nursing)
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- Influenza vaccine (required during flu season, no exemptions)
- MMR vaccine or proof of immunity
- TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (strongly preferred)
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
- Background Checks & Verifications:
- Criminal background check including Massachusetts CORI
- National sex offender registry check
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists)
- Social Security Number trace
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- Additional Documentation:
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
- Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit testing is required
Additional Notes
- Must comply with all credentialing and onboarding requirements prior to start
- Shared housing requires signing a housing agreement
- No MA Conditional Licenses accepted
- Documentation must be current and updated as required (e.g., TB tests, background checks)
This position is ideal for RNs with outpatient or primary care experience seeking a long-term assignment with a stable weekday schedule and no night or weekend shifts.
