Job Opportunity: MFM Ultrasound Tech (Radiology) - Travel/Contract

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description

• Perform Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound procedures including obstetrics and transvaginal scans.
• Use EMR systems such as Viewpoint (for report generation), Cerner, and Meditech (for patient chart review and medical history access).
• Skills preferred: Amniocentesis, GE Anatomy scans, and Viewpoint software.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5.
• Flu vaccine is mandatory for all employees at this facility.
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound or related specialty.

Required Certifications

• ARDMS-FE (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Fetal Echocardiography)
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification

Required Qualifications

• Valid state license for Registered Nurse (RN) or relevant clinical discipline as per job title (Radiology - Ultrasound Tech).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC).
• Flu vaccine required.
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable disease.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year, updated annually.
• Drug screening within 90 days of start, updated annually.
• Immunization documentation for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccine.
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit description (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) but are not explicitly stated as mandatory for this role.

Additional Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days including all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
• Education verification for highest degree required by the position.

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
