Location: Harvey, Illinois

Job Description

  • Position: CT Tech Nights
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Required Qualifications

  • License: Illinois Emergency Medical Agency (IEMA) license required for Technologists working in X-ray, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in the specialty or comparable/higher acuity area.
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all candidates (AHA provider or AHA RQI accepted; RQI provider like Laerdal not accepted).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Not required for this position.
  • Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM are not required for this role.

Background and Verification Requirements

  • 7-year background check including aliases, sex offender, criminal, federal, FACIS, education verification, and international checks if applicable.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Primary source license verification within 30 days of assignment start.
  • Employment verification for the last 7 years required.
  • Skills checklist for traveler's unit and float units, updated annually.
  • References: 2 required.
  • Employment application including explanation of any employment gaps longer than 30 days.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually, confirming good health.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (3M 1860 S/R, 1870+, or 9205+ masks). Onsite fit testing available if needed.
  • Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
  • Immunizations and titers required within 2 business days of contract signing:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (proof within 10 years or declination)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with TB questionnaire if positive)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of immunity or vaccination series
    • Hepatitis B: Proof of immunity or vaccination series (declination allowed)
    • Varicella: Proof of immunity or vaccination series (declination allowed)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required for 2025-26 flu season unless approved religious or medical exemption is granted. Declinations not accepted.

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID required.
  • Photo for badge (passport style, plain background, forward facing, no headgear).
  • Completion of facility orientation modules (~2 hours) prior to start.
  • Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) fingerprinting required for candidates without an Illinois state license; must be completed in Illinois no later than the Monday before start date.

Additional Notes

  • COVID-19 and Influenza religious and medical exemption forms are available but require facility approval and must be submitted at least one week prior to documentation due date.
  • Candidates must comply with all background, health, and facility-specific documentation requirements to be cleared for assignment start.

This position offers an opportunity to work nights as a CT Tech in a reputable healthcare setting in Illinois with a 13-week travel contract.
