Job Opportunity: Mammography Technician

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (40-hour day)
• Tuesday: Off
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• License: Must hold a valid Mammography Technician license as required by Massachusetts regulations.

• Certifications: ARRT certification required.

• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine, or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30); no exemptions allowed.
  • Documentation of TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break >6 months. If positive TB test, chest x-ray documentation required.
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  • Strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination record or proof of immunity or declination.
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit testing is required.

• Background Checks and Verifications:

  • Criminal background check including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry.
  • Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists.
  • Social Security Number trace and education verification.
  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
  • Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above).
  • Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission.
