Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Admissions (Days)

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will be a key member of the patient care team responsible for managing and delivering patient care to assigned patients. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and work within the scope of practice defined by the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, delegating tasks appropriately, and leading the interdisciplinary team under the direction of the attending physician.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Preoperative (Preop) / AM Admission experience
• Procedural Sedation: Experience with conscious sedation and assisting with blocks is required
• Additional Skills:

  • Phone assessments
  • EPIC electronic health record system proficiency
• Certifications:

  • Current New York RN License (Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required for temporary staffing)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Other Requirements:

  • Must complete onboarding training from approved providers (e.g., Welle or CPI) including verbal de-escalation training
  • Must be able to work holidays as needed
  • Requested time off during assignment must be submitted upfront; no more than 5 days allowed
  • Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color without designs or cartoons; no hoodies
