Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Peoria, Illinois

Job Description

• Perform general CT scanning procedures, including starting IVs.
• Work with GE brand CT scanners (5 scanners in the department).
• Use of EPIC and McKesson PACS systems.
• Fast-paced, high acuity, and high volume patient environment.
• No floating or coverage of other areas required.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each.
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, every fourth weekend with holiday rotation.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every third weekend with holiday rotation.
• No call or standby required.
• Holiday work is not required but may be optional if willing.

Contract Length

• Approximately 20 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification.
• Illinois Emergency Medical Agency (IEMA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with GE CT scanners required.
• Ability to start IVs.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
• Must be experienced and able to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Prior travel experience is required.

Orientation & Training

• 2 weeks of orientation (3 twelve-hour shifts per week) with dedicated trainer before working independently.
• Non-billable orientation hours (12 hours).

Additional Information

• Dress code: Normal scrubs, solid colors or some prints allowed.
• Facility size: 640 beds.
• No floating or coverage of other departments required.
• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with strong experience on GE equipment, trauma exposure, and prior travel assignments looking for a well-supported travel contract in Illinois.
