Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Recent experience required: 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license in hand
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Certifications:

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Competencies:

  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for MS/Tele
• Government-issued photo ID required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Fit testing for N95 mask (3M Model 1860) required
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola) positive titer or booster
  • Mumps positive titer or booster
  • Rubella positive titer or booster
  • Hepatitis B positive titer or declination form if applicable
  • Varicella positive titer
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant screens not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct–May); exemptions require facility approval
• COVID-19 vaccination required annually or approved exemption

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year work and residence history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions (updated annually)
• CORI release required
• Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search required for all candidates in MA
• Pass/fail testing on EKG and medication administered on first day of orientation
• Color blindness testing (Ishihara) required for certain units (not specified for MS/Tele)
• Two professional references documenting recent work experience

Uniform and Facility Specifics

• Any scrub color acceptable; scrubs provided for OR (not applicable for MS/Tele)
• Headshot photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies)

This position is ideal for experienced Medical-Surgical RNs with required certifications and licensure, ready for a 13-week travel assignment in Massachusetts.
