Job Description

• Position in the Radiology Department, primarily in CT and MRI departments.
• Weekend rotation required.
• Local defined as within 75 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Jersey or compact license in hand.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• Experience with Cat Scan and MRI preferred; unit-based training provided for qualified candidates.

Shift Details

• Weekend rotation schedule.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history, sex offender, criminal, OIG sanctions, and others.
• Education verification (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing minimum).
• Physical exam within 72 hours of contract signing, stating good health and no physical limitations.
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations and health documents required within 72 hours of contract signing:

  • Flu vaccine (mandatory, no declinations accepted)
  • COVID vaccine (initial series and booster required, no exemptions)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred, not required)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof or titers
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
• Fit mask test (N95) required within 1 year of start.
• Pass/fail competency exams onsite including medication, telemetry, and ECG interpretation.
• Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) required annually with 80% passing score.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing acknowledgment required.

References and Work History

• Two professional references required:

  • One supervisory reference from within 12 months.
  • One professional reference from within 3 years.
• Employment verification for the last 7 years required.
• Updated resume including last 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days.

Additional Notes

• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• Onsite exams and competency testing mandatory for clearance and continued work status.
• Training and documentation must be completed timely to avoid delays in start date.
