Description
Job Opportunity: Radiology Recovery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Radiology Recovery)
- Shift: Day shift with self-scheduling; start times vary between 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 7:30 AM on weekends with on-call at the end of the shift
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, weekend shifts start at 7:30 AM with on-call at the end of the shift
- On-call: Required as described above
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
- Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Orientation (RTO) Restrictions: No RTO within first two weeks due to orientation
- Special Skills Required:
- Skilled in PIV placement and port accessing
- Urinary catheterization skills preferred

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience within the last year
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with PIV placement
- Experience with port accessing
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Fit test for respirator use (N95 or CAPR/PAPR) valid for entire assignment; on-site fit testing not allowed
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (accepted if given after age 11)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – titers or vaccines required with boosters if low/borderline titers
- Varicella – titer or 2 vaccines, boosters if low titer
- Hepatitis B – positive antibody titer, completed vaccine series, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes; TB questionnaire annually (except Emergency and Radiology units)
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 1 year of start, covering specified substances
- Respiratory medical clearance annually for respirator users
Background Checks and Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check required (or within past year if all criteria met)
- FACIS 3, County civil searches, State and National criminal databases, Sex Offender Watch, and Global Sanctions searches required
- E-Verify and I-9 documentation required
- Foreign equivalency education evaluation required if educated outside the U.S.
- Transcript/Diploma required for all RNs
- Washington State Patrol search required within 12 months and every 2 years thereafter
Additional Information
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Parking available at variable cost depending on shift and lot
- Photo for badge required on blue background within 72 hours of contract signing
- Mandatory completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (approx. 8 hours)
- Math test and EKG test required onsite; remediation available if needed
- Meal waiver agreement optional for second meal period waiver (not required for candidates signed on or after 1/1/2026)
