Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (CCU)

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Job Summary

• Work in Cardiac Medicine ICU (CCU)
• Clinical review and auto offer process
• Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters, vasoactive drips, arterial lines
• Care for advanced heart failure patients, post-procedure care including STEMIs and TAVRs
• Rotating shifts, offering 36 or 48 hours per week
• Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must adhere to facility float policy
• Maximum 40 hours approved for time off

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (CCU)
• Minimum Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated, assume standard for CCU RN (typically 1-2 years ICU experience recommended)

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG

• Drug testing (10-panel including marijuana and fentanyl)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or Qgold acceptable)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (positive required or antigen titer if antibody low/negative)
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (no exemptions)
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
• Pass/Fail cardiac rhythm assessment during orientation (required for adult inpatient RN positions)

Additional Notes

• Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Must comply with professional appearance guidelines
• Fit testing required for patient-facing roles (completed onsite if needed)
• Some units may require fingerprinting and abuse registry checks (behavioral health or specific units)
