Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp, Fort Dodge, IA

Job Details

• Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
• Employment Type: Temporary
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Schedule:

  • 4 days per week in outpatient clinic
  • 1 day per week in acute care
  • Possible weekend acute shifts (1-2 weekends) with on-call hours Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM (optional)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC
• Float Requirement: May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Candidate Location Requirement: Must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not allowable

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience (based on 24 months of current PT experience required)
• At least 1 year of previous PT experience
• Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline
• Work history/resume demonstrating required experience
• Professional references preferred (from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within last 24 months)

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract (preferred, not required)

Additional Information

• The traveler will contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team
• The role involves managing care for orthopedic, neurological, and safety discharge patients
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required

This position is ideal for Physical Therapists with outpatient experience who are comfortable working some acute care shifts and potentially covering weekend on-call hours.
