Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Location

• Near Chicago, IL (Oak Lawn area)
• Level 1 Trauma Center with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Patient Population

• Adults and pediatrics (pediatrics preferred, usually trauma cases)
• Patient types include stroke, CTA, biopsies (needle, bone marrow), drains, calcium scoring, cardiac, abdomen, pelvis, head, chest, extremities, general anatomy
• Level 1 Trauma patients

Patient Ratios

• 1:1

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (no first-time travelers accepted)
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ARRT, Illinois state license (IEMA)
• Experience with Level 1 trauma patients
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Preferred: IV start skills

Work Environment & Support

• RT support available 24/7
• Hospitalist available 24/7
• Code Blue/Rapid Response Team present
• Equipment used: GE and Phillips CT scanners

Orientation & Scheduling

• 1 week orientation on day shift to learn workflow
• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Night shift hours: 7pm - 7am
• Schedule released every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required based on needs
• Time off approval through manager

Additional Notes

• Floating possible mid-shift within inpatient imaging center
• Scrub color: Caribbean blue (no logos, camo, or denim)
• Free parking available
