Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10-hour shifts, consecutive days
• Start Day: Monday or Tuesday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• On Call: 1 call shift per week (5 PM – 12 AM), not on last day of shift
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
• Floating: May be required to float to another location if needed
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Locals: Not accepted (radius restrictions apply)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT certification
• Proficient in Chest scans with and without contrast
• Proficient in Vascular chest scans
• Proficient in Head scans with and without contrast
• Knowledge of radiation safety

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I9 or attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID (must meet radius criteria)
• E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year background check (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year (updated annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Photo for badge (professional quality)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance documents prior to start

Additional Notes

• Must be available for one holiday shift or call per contract
• Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Emergency authorization available for Virginia license processing
• Floating to alternate location may be required

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with strong radiology skills, who are flexible with scheduling and open to travel assignments without prior travel experience.
