Job Opportunity: CT Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist with expertise in diagnostic imaging to work in an acute hospital setting. The role requires independent operation of CT scanning equipment and adherence to radiologist protocols.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer
• Certification:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging (higher of 2 and 3 years interpreted as 3 years)
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Ability to perform routine CT scans independently without supervision
• Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Meditech EMR, Canon/Toshiba CT units, and Vitrea workstation
  • Skills in venipuncture, MIP, MPR, 3D imaging
  • Experience with biopsies, drainages, vascular or cardiac imaging, trauma, or stroke imaging is a plus

Additional Requirements

• Must have or obtain Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license before assignment start
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start
• Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
• Shifts may vary; no on-call required
