Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics (Nights)

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses, including general medical-surgical units.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3.
• Work schedule includes nights.
• Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• License: Active Iowa RN license at time of submission.
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience required.
  • Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract.
  • Work history must show 24 months of current Pediatric experience.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA or ARC.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from AHA or ARC.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from AHA or ARC.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (preferred but PALS acceptable if NRP not held).
• Skills:

  • Experience with Pediatric Vapotherm required.
  • Must be comfortable floating to general medical-surgical units.
• Other Requirements:

  • Must not have been employed by the facility in the last 12 months.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Skills checklist specific to Pediatric discipline required.
  • Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.
• Candidate Location: Candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible.

• Prior travel experience is explicitly required.
• This position involves floating within the same discipline across local campuses.
