Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Specialty: General Imaging (CT)
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient imaging center with 2 CT outpatient rooms and 5 CT inpatient rooms
• Patient Types: Adults and pediatrics (pediatrics preferred, usually trauma cases)
• Patient Conditions: Stroke, CTA, biopsies (needle, bone marrow), drains, calcium scoring, cardiac, abdomen, pelvis, head, chest, extremities, general anatomy
• Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma patients
• Patient Ratio: 1:1

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years CT experience (no acceptance of first-time travelers or those with only 1 year experience)
• Certifications: BLS, ARRT, Illinois state license (IEMA)
• Skills:

  • Experience with Level 1 trauma patients and the patient types listed above
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting system (experience required)
• Preferred Skills: IV starts

Work Environment & Support

• Support Staff: Respiratory Therapist and Hospitalist available 24/7; Code Blue/Rapid Response Team on site
• Equipment: GE and Phillips CT scanners
• Floating: Mid-shift floating possible within inpatient imaging center
• Orientation: 1 week of day-shift orientation to learn workflow

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Night shift hours: 7pm - 7am
• Schedule released every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage required based on needs
• Time off approval through manager

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is required (first-time travelers not accepted)
