Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with Level III Perinatal Center, Teaching Hospital, Magnet Designation, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
• Facility has 397 beds; this position supports 3 beds.
• Patient types include Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department.
• Patient ratio is 1:1.
• Average scans per day: approximately 15.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with trauma and stroke cases.
• Radiologist onsite (resident).
• Techs do not process their own scans; processing is done by a third party.
• Weekend rotation every other weekend.
• Call: No.
• Orientation: 1 day on the unit.
• Support available includes receptionist during dayshift and hospitalist/physician after hours.
• Floating: Not applicable.
• Scrub color: Gray.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CT.
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT.
• Skills required: IV skills, Power Injection.
• Mandatory equipment/procedure experience: GE equipment.
• Comfortable with trauma, stroke, and fast-paced environment.
• Charting systems used: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis.

• Weekend night shift staffing: 1 tech and a tech aide on Friday; 2 techs and a tech aide on Saturday and Sunday.
