Job Opportunity: Technologist - X-Ray

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Support all areas of Radiology including plain film imaging, operating room exams, and portable exams.
• Must be proficient with Siemens general radiography equipment, Carestream portable units, GE OEC C-arms, and Medtronic O-arm.
• Operating room experience required, particularly with C-arms and O-arms.
• Experience with surgery fluoroscopy.
• Experience with all age groups (shift dependent).
• Use of EPIC electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of X-Ray experience, preferably in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Experience using Siemens fixed radiography equipment.
• Experience using Carestream portable radiography units.
• Experience using GE OEC C-arms.
• Experience using Medtronic O-arm.
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; candidates willing to apply for license at time of acceptance will be considered.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Work history/resume must reflect 24 months of current X-Ray experience.
• Skills checklist specific to Radiology Technologist / X-Ray discipline required.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred.

• Candidate will float across multiple campuses within the local area.
• Work schedule includes afternoon shifts.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

This position is ideal for experienced Radiologic Technologists with strong operating room and fluoroscopy skills, comfortable working with multiple radiography systems and supporting a variety of patient age groups.
