Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Radiology

Location: Paramus, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position in the Radiology Department, specifically the MRI unit.
• Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (8-hour shift).
• Rotation every third weekend and holidays.
• Local candidates defined as within 75 miles of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required.
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required.
• State license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start.
• NURSYS verification required for RN licenses.
• Facility-specific self-learning modules and post-tests must be completed prior to start.
• ECG Foundations exam required for RNs (except certain units).
• Core Competency exams cover topics such as patient safety, HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, ethics, and workplace violence.
• Employment application must include full name with middle initial and explain any employment gaps over 30 days.

Specialty Experience

• No explicit years of experience stated; however, a Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are mandatory.
• MRI experience preferred but not required.

Prior Travel Experience

• No prior travel experience required.

Shift Details

• Night shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 8 hours.
• Rotates every third weekend and holidays.

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with a Bachelor’s degree who are certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and are interested in working in a Radiology MRI department on a night shift schedule. Training for MRI experience will be provided if needed.
