Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Float between two Emergency Departments: one Level I Trauma Center and one Level IV Trauma Center.
  • Must have prior experience working in a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Recent Emergency Room RN experience required (minimum 2 years, with experience in the last 12 months).
  • Experience in a 500+ bed hospital preferred.
  • Prior travel experience is required.
  • Must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week.
  • Return to Office (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days and no RTO during the first week of assignment.
  • Candidates should be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to increase chances of securing the assignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last 12 months.
  • One completed travel assignment.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience working with Level I Trauma patients.
  • Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

  • No assignments available for Arizona residents at Arizona facilities.
  • Candidates must clearly outline all criteria they are willing to accept regarding locations, shifts, and departments.
  • Non-billable hours adjusted to reflect 16 hours per assignment.
  • Assignments may be canceled with one full week’s notice without penalty.

Summary

This is a temporary Emergency Room RN position requiring strong trauma and ER experience, including prior travel assignments. The role demands multiple advanced certifications and the ability to work in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center environment. Flexibility and readiness to start promptly are essential.
