CT/X-Ray Technologist

Location: Salida, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Full-time position, approximately 36 hours per week, with day and night shifts:

  • April 1 through May 8: Day shift
  • May 9 through June 27: Night shift
• Perform radiographic and CT procedures with accuracy and professionalism, following physician orders and patient needs (including pregnancy, trauma, elderly, and sick patients).
• Perform quality radiographic exams by selecting proper technique (voltage, current, exposure time) to minimize radiation exposure and obtain diagnostic images.
• Properly position patients and use shielding to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Perform quality CT exams following protocols from ordering physicians and radiologists, maintaining ALARA principles for radiation safety in both adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform MRI exams, including safety screening and patient positioning for optimal imaging.
• Transport patients safely within the department and assist with transfers.
• Ensure all required consent forms are signed and obtain relevant patient history and allergy information.
• Maintain sterile techniques and cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
• Perform radiographic procedures in various settings including operating rooms, emergency rooms, recovery rooms, and patient rooms using portable equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved ARRT program.
• Current ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology (R), CT, and MR or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience.

• Must be CT registered (not just experienced).
