Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Must have prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience required.
  • Experience in a 500+ bed hospital preferred.
  • May take overflow inpatient holds in the ED on a rotating basis with other staff.
  • Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week after.
  • Return to Office (RTO) time off cannot exceed 7 days and no RTO during the first week of assignment.
  • Candidates should be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to increase chances of securing an offer.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months ER experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
  • Prior travel experience is required.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with no hits on state license to practice.
  • Life support certifications must be current and from approved vendors (AHA, ARC, or ASHI):
    • ACLS
    • BLS
    • PALS
    • TNCC
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Valid driver’s license to verify residency.
  • Must complete required learning modules prior to assignment start.
  • ER skills checklist completed within the last 12 months.
  • Must comply with all background check standards.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must submit a detailed resume including all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and number of beds.
  • All candidates should be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment.
  • Non-billable hours are adjusted to reflect 16 hours per assignment.
  • Assignments may be canceled with one full week’s notice without penalty.

Notes

  • Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments in any Arizona facility.
  • Flexibility in shifts and departments is encouraged.
  • This position involves working night shifts in the Emergency Room.
