Physical Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Webster, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy interventions using appropriate tools and techniques while following safety safeguards.
• Document patient information for evaluation and establish/modify therapeutic plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Treat individuals of all ages with various diagnoses and disorders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current research and incorporate it into daily treatments.
• Follow accepted clinical practice guidelines and meet all regulatory documentation requirements.
• Work primarily in an outpatient hospital-based setting with some coverage in inpatient and sub-acute units.
• Utilize computerized charting systems and modality equipment.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends, no call, no working alone

Unit Information

• Outpatient hospital-based setting with some inpatient/sub-acute coverage
• 8 beds in the unit
• Dress code: Casual

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of South Dakota
• BLS Certification required

Orientation & Training

• Standard safety orientation including HIPAA and standard precautions
• Department-specific training on equipment and modalities

Additional Notes

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Local placement within an 80-mile radius
• Prior work history with the facility must have ended at least 6 months prior to submission if applicable
