Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Days)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly throughout the year.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical, Post-Operative, or Stepdown nursing.
• Additional Experience: Surgical and post-op surgical experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
  • BLS certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
• Other Requirements:

  • Comfortable managing up to 5-7 patients.
  • Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract (preferred).
  • Not employed by this health system within the last 12 months.
  • Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Additional Information

• Night and weekend shifts may include overtime and holiday pay multipliers.
• Call back and on-call pay applies as per facility policy.
• The position supports care at a Level 1 trauma center.
