Registered Nurse (OR) - Savannah, Georgia

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse proficient in General, Vascular, and Robotic surgical cases. This position requires call coverage and offers flexible shifts starting between 6:00 and 6:30 AM, with options for 10- or 12-hour shifts.

• Approximately 13 weeks

• Savannah, Georgia

Unit Details

• Operating Room with 19 suites
• Average 30-40 cases per day
• EMR system: Meditech
• Floating between two main ORs; no ambulatory surgery assignments

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license appropriate for OR specialty
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in General, Vascular, or Robotic surgery cases
• Versatility across multiple service lines preferred
• At least one prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required)
• Scrubbing experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Positive attitude and eagerness to work

Call and Scheduling

• Call is required: one weekday per week and one weekend every five weeks
• Call rotation with the team
• Flexible scheduling with 10- or 12-hour shifts
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned, including case booking and patient prep during shifts

Orientation and Work Environment

• One-week unit-specific orientation: initial educator meeting followed by 2-3 days with a nurse preceptor
• Smoke-free campus
• Faith-based hospital environment
• Breaks include a 15-minute morning break and a 30-minute lunch break
