Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Days)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

• Typical work hours: 36-40 hours/week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
• Orientation sessions available regularly throughout the year
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC
• Night shift differential: 16 hours
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply
• Call back and on-call pay available
• Charge/preceptor pay available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required; Iowa license offered as well
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), drains, and central lines required
• Experience with medication titration including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must not have been employed by this health system within the last 12 months
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
