Location: Weston, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room with a strong background in robotics, orthopedic, and neurological procedures.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of direct RN Operating Room experience.
- Strong experience in Robotics, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery required.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
Schedule & On-Call
- On-call requirement: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month.
- Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs.
- Block scheduling is not accommodated.
- Locals accepted at the same rate.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts.
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – must have at time of submission.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – must have at time of submission.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – must be obtained prior to start.
License Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Pending licenses accepted.
Important Facility Requirements
- Smoke-free facility: All travelers must be nicotine-free (verified by negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine).
- Time-sensitive online training modules must be completed prior to start.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with application.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I-9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting).
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start.
- NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start.
- Physical exam within 6 months of start.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (no Florida Medical Marijuana card accepted).
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required.
- Two professional references within 2 years of start required.
- Employment application and skills checklist must be completed.
Orientation & Training
- Orientation scheduled approximately 3-4 weeks from start date.
- Pass/Fail testing on EKG and Pharmacology during orientation (2 attempts allowed).
- Online onboarding modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; cannot be completed on a phone.
- Modules include COVID documentation submission and other facility-specific training.
Additional Notes
- Nurse manager will discuss on-call and scheduling details during the interview.
- Candidates must prioritize completion of all required modules and documentation promptly to avoid delays.
- Facility issues radiation badges to applicable staff.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
- Experience in Orthopedics and Neurology.
- Strong robotics experience.
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- NIHSS certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
