Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Weston, Florida

Job Description

• Shift: 0645-1715 with liver call; may assist with other cases if no liver/transplant cases available
• Must have strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
• Proficiency required in Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Experience required in organ implantation (not just harvesting)
• Nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs
• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Pending license accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Block scheduling not accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including within the last year
• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant experience or direct RN experience
• Strong experience in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
• Proficiency in Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Experience with organ implantation (putting organs back in the new patient), not just harvesting
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
