Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Circulating nurse position in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Scrubbing not required
- Float to other OR specialties required
- Call requirement: approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks, including 1 call weekend (Friday evening to Monday morning) every 6 weeks
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Shift options:
- 8 and 10 hour shifts (40 hours/week)
- 3 twelve-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
- 4 twelve-hour shifts (48 hours/week)
- Special clinical requirements include experience with heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
- First-time travelers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Level I Trauma experience
- Experience with heart transplants
- Experience with lung transplants
- Experience with aortic dissections
- Experience with ECMO
