Description

Registered Nurse - Case Management

Location: Brownsville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours per week
Weekend rotation required
Unit: Case Management
Number of Beds: 214
Number of Staff on Unit: 11
Patient Ratios: 25-30 patients per nurse
Equipment used: Computer, immobile equipment, fax, printer
Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech, Midas, Careport

Typical Duties

Discharge planning
Care coordination
Utilization review and Interqual experience required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of experience in Case Management as an RN, with experience within the last year
Experience with discharge planning
Utilization review experience, including InterQual

Preferred Skills

Experience with Meditech EMR system

Work Environment & Culture

Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs, business professional attire, white lab coat
