Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Inpatient Physical Therapist position in an acute care hospital setting.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30), Friday through Monday.
• Patient population primarily geriatric with conditions including high functioning strokes, orthopedic surgeries, general weakness, and illnesses. Pediatric patients and severe cases (e.g., severe strokes, traumas) are referred out.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (October 1 - March 31).

Additional Requirements

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge.
• Completion of facility-specific security, confidentiality, behavioral expectations, HIPAA, and information security training forms.
• Two professional references within the last 3 years.
• Annual skills checklist.

Work Environment

• Acute care hospital unit with a focus on rehabilitation for geriatric patients.
• Exposure to a variety of medical conditions excluding severe trauma and pediatric cases.
