Registered Nurse – MS/Tele

Location: Rochester, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted
• First-time travelers accepted

Unit Details

• Unit Size: 26 beds
• Patient Focus: Post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, cardiac pharmacologic interventions
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5 (1:7 for MedSurg)
• Uniform: Navy blue and white scrub colors

Required Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience in MS/Telemetry settings
• IV therapy and phlebotomy experience
• Blood product administration experience
• Rapid response/code team use experience
• Non-invasive airway management experience
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year Med Surg experience within the last year
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• 7-year criminal background check within 3 months of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start
• Education verification from primary source required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
• Snellen eye exam within 1 year
• COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required

• References: 2 references within 3 years (for certain candidates)

• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as required
• Photo for badge required

This position offers a specialized opportunity for RNs with MS/Telemetry experience to work a 13-week travel contract on a night shift with a reputable acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY.
