Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in an inpatient physical therapy/occupational therapy unit. The unit has approximately 240 beds with a staff of 54, including 14-16 PTs per day shift. Patient ratios range from 1:8 to 1:10.

  • Typical Procedures:

    • Gait training
    • Transfer training
    • Therapeutic exercise
    • Discharge planning
    • Family education
  • Equipment Used:

    • Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
    • Barton Chair
    • Sara Stedy
    • Standing frame
    • Cardiac Walker
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

  • Shift: Day shift (no night shift)

  • Weekends: Rotating weekends required

  • Dress Code: Olive green scrub top, black scrub bottoms


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Occupational Therapist (OT) assessment skills
  • OTR Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Acute care experience
  • ICU experience

  • Floating area includes Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) / Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
