Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mom Baby
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Mother Baby Unit
- Number of Beds: 34 private couplet rooms
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 couplets
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, Bilirubin blankets/lights
- EMR System: Cerner
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on the Mother Baby Unit, including caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
- Typical procedures include circumcisions
- Floating areas include Labor & Delivery and NICU
- Weekends required; no on-call shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Post Partum experience, including experience within the last year
- Mother Baby experience
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Ideal Candidate
- Team player who loves to teach
- Comfortable working in a busy, specialized Mother Baby unit environment
