Location: Moses Lake, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Full-time day shift position (40 hrs/week), Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging with a focus on Computed Tomography (CT) exams, including those with and without power contrast injections. The technologist will work closely with physicians, follow radiologist protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize automatic exposure control and accurately apply technical factors (kvp, ma, time, distance).
- Select appropriate cassettes and employ collimation and tomographic factors.
- Perform CT exams, including administering contrast media and starting IVs.
- Position patients correctly and safely, ensuring proper immobilization and following sterile techniques.
- Assist physicians during exams and follow radiologist protocols.
- Archive images properly using PACS and document patient and image information accurately in HIS/RIS systems.
- Communicate effectively using SBAR and AIDET techniques.
- Monitor patient needs and evaluate mental and physical condition to avoid hazards.
- May be assigned on-call standby shifts as needed.
- Mentor students from affiliated Radiology Technology programs.
- Maintain professional growth through continuing education and workshops.
- Follow safety protocols including infection control, safe lifting, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Washington
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT certification
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Physical Requirements
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Frequent and prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to lift, position, push, and transfer patients.
- Ability to push, pull, or move heavy equipment.
- Manual dexterity and mobility required.
- Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, crouching.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with healthcare team, patients, and families.

Additional Information
- Up to 24 hours of on-call time may be required during the assignment.
