Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Hallock, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, DEXA, EKG, Spirometry, and CT scans. The role involves preparing patients, operating radiologic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician review. The position includes work in long-term care, clinic, and hospital settings with rotating on-call weekends and holidays.


Work Schedule

  • Full-time shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • On-call shifts Monday-Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Rotating 24-hour on-call weekends and holidays

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations as ordered by providers
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and providers
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology with CT experience or certification
  • Current CT Certification (required)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or current enrollment
  • ARRT certification or eligibility to obtain
  • Must pass Minnesota background check and fingerprinting prior to start
  • Ability to float between locations within the region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with general radiography, CT, and ultrasound (1 year preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection
  • Ability to evaluate image quality and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Commitment to continuing education and regulatory compliance

Licensing & Compliance

  • Must provide proof of current license at time of submission
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprinting and background checks required before start
  • Must complete TB test within first 3 weeks of employment
  • Required immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) proof or titers
    • Hepatitis B status (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination history
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccination or facility declination form

Additional Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID and emergency contact form required prior to start
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within one year of start date
  • Completion of facility-specific training and competency exams as applicable
  • Must adhere to facility policies regarding call-outs and holiday coverage

Facility & Work Environment

  • Critical Access Hospital and long-term care settings
  • Free parking available
  • Dress code: Any scrub color, closed-toe shoes required

  • First-time travel technologists will not be considered
  • Locals are accepted for this position
  • No block scheduling accommodations available
