Job Description

• Work primarily involves phone triage, in-basket management, and medication refills.
• May assist with adult vaccinations.
• Occasionally may help room patients and take vitals.
• Rarely, may need to start IV fluids; RNs respond to any emergency situations in the clinic.
• Patient population includes general family medicine patients from birth to geriatrics, including some OB patients.
• Patient visit types: 35% well visits, 15% acutely sick, many chronic disease management cases.
• Average patients per day: 60-80.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinic or inpatient/acute care.
• BLS certification required.
• Comfortable with adult vaccinations preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (EPIC preferred but not required if strong RN skills).

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.

Orientation & Support

• Approximately one week of training with lead RN; additional training available if needed.
• Support team includes Medical Assistants (perform phlebotomy), Patient Care Representatives, Lead Nurse, Site Supervisor, Physical Therapist, X-ray technician, and Diabetic Educator (available Tuesdays).
