Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Beds: 3 Holding Bays and 2 Cath suites
- Staff: 9
- Shift: Day shift, approximately 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Patient Ratio: 3 staff to 1 patient in procedural area
- Equipment: GE Innova Fluoro Systems, Mac Lab
- EMR System: Meditech
Job Description
- Perform procedures including Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
- Additional procedures: Pacers, ICDs, Cardioversions, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Tilt Table Tests, Dobutamine stress tests
- Must take on-call responsibilities, typically 8-12 days per 4-week schedule, including some weekends
- Must live within 30 minutes of the Cath Lab
- Work within a high-functioning team with engaged physicians
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in holding and patient monitoring
