Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Registered Technologist in Radiologic Mammography (RTRM)
• Minimum of 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – two vaccines each or proof of immunity via blood test
  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break in service over 6 months
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity is strongly preferred
  • Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years is preferred
• Physician-signed health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break in service exceeds 6 months
• Criminal background checks including:

  • National and Massachusetts CORI background checks within 30-45 days prior to start date and updated if break in service exceeds 6 months
  • Social Security Number trace covering last 7 years
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually
  • Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days of start and annually
• Education verification of highest level achieved (except CNA positions)
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the skillset
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• Confirmation of assignment form required for initial assignments and extensions

Additional Notes

• If a positive TB test is documented, a negative chest x-ray dated after the positive test is required
• Name change documentation may be required if credentials do not match current legal name
• Various attestations and forms must be completed and updated as required

This position is suitable for experienced Mammography Technologists who meet licensure and certification requirements and can comply with health and background screening protocols.
