Registered Nurse - ER
Location: Big Spring, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 4/20 or 5/4
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Certifications (issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- Tech Certification Verification - National
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (includes EKG and Medication Administration)
- State License Verification (including NURSYS verification)
Required Documents & Compliance
- Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)

- Facility-specific forms including:
- Health Record Form
- Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
- Confidentiality Statement Form
- Information System Security Agreement Form
- Non-Employee Orientation Update Form
- Traveler Orientation
- Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
- Hepatitis B Declination (if no positive titer on file)
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Fit Test within 6 months prior to start (annual updates required)
- Immunizations and Titers (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing):
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (QGold, TSpot, or 2 PPDs within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles) – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Mumps – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or series with declination form if applicable
- Varicella – positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease; boosters if negative/equivocal
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season (10/31-3/31)
- COVID initial series required; boosters not required
- Drug Testing within 30 days (includes multiple substances; instant acceptable)
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Resume or employment application copy
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start

- Legal name must match exactly on all license documentation, IDs, social security card, and certifications. Proof of name change alone is not sufficient.
- Some certifications and requirements may be waived or accepted on a case-by-case basis; consult recruiter or compliance lead as needed.
