Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Shift:
- 4x10 hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Weekends: 2 weekends on Saturday/Sunday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with 2 weekends off
- Off every Tuesday and when working weekend, off Tuesday and Wednesday
- No call or float requirements
Daily Volume: Approximately 100 visits per day
Orientation: 40 hours
Scrubs: Provided
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty
- Skills in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, Emergency Department
- Proficient with GE, PACS systems
- Experience with CT imaging including Abdomen, Pelvis, Chest, Carotid, Head, Sinuses, Soft tissue neck, Trauma head
- Knowledge of 3D rendering techniques (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), Region of interest measurement (ROI)
- Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Radiation Safety knowledge
- Experience with Cervical, Lumbar, Musculoskeletal trauma, Thoracic imaging
Traveler Experience: First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Experience with Epic electronic health records
- Community hospital experience
- Trauma Level II experience
- BLS certification
- Pediatric Acute Care and Outpatient experience
- Experience with colorectal studies, enterography, intravenous pyelogram
- Cardiac imaging such as calcium scoring, coronary angiography, coronary CTA, CT arthrography
- Skills in starting peripheral IVs, venipuncture, aspirations, biopsies, drainage, myelography, vascular CTA
Required Licenses and Certifications
- Current NH State License for CT Technologist
- ARRT CT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider only (preferred or required depending on unit)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA Provider only (preferred)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) (preferred)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification (preferred)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (preferred)
- NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start including Social Security Verification, National Sex Offender Registry, Criminal Searches (excluding NH counties), Education Verification, and others as specified
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (no exceptions)
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask test annually (N95 or equivalent masks)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination waiver
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Apr 1) or approved exemption
- Respiratory Safety Clearance questionnaire required for all clinical travelers
- Two current professional references within last 3 years, including one from a supervisor or charge RN
- Employment application and skills checklist required
Additional Notes
- Travelers who have previously worked for the associated health system are not eligible regardless of separation time
- Pass/fail dysrhythmia/ECG testing required within 48 hours of contract signing for certain units
- Facility-specific religious and medical exemption forms available for flu and Tdap vaccines
- Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg) required
- Proof of auto insurance required if applicable (e.g., home health)
This position offers a structured schedule with no call or float requirements and supports first-time travel healthcare workers. The role requires a CT Technologist licensed in New Hampshire with ARRT CT certification and at least 1 year of experience.
