Job Opportunity: Allied - Rapid Response

Location: Gainesville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Rehab Unit
  • Number of Beds: 30
  • Number of Staff: 22
  • Staff Types: Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Tech
  • Shift: Day shift only
  • Patient Ratio: 7:1
  • Equipment: Typical inpatient rehab gym equipment including balance and gait systems
  • Documentation System: Meditech (Expanse)
  • Call Requirements: Weekend rotation

Job Description

  • Rapid response role with 40 hours guaranteed
  • No return to office (RTO), special scheduling, early cancels, or attendance concerns
  • Typical procedures include patient evaluations, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, family/patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training
  • New hospital and unit startup environment (rated 5/5)
  • Dress Code: Light gray scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Florida
  • BLS certification
  • Rapid Response Competencies
  • Physical Therapist experience

Additional Preferences

  • Adaptability to a fast-paced unit
  • Ability to function well independently
  • Previous travel experience preferred but not explicitly required
