Job Opportunity: Allied - Rapid Response

Location: Gainesville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Unit Information

Unit Type: Rehab Unit
Number of Beds: 30
Number of Staff: 22
Staff Types: Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Tech
Shift: Day shift only
Patient Ratio: 7:1
Equipment: Typical inpatient rehab gym equipment including balance and gait systems
Documentation System: Meditech (Expanse)
Call Requirements: Weekend rotation

Job Description

Rapid response role with 40 hours guaranteed
No return to office (RTO), special scheduling, early cancels, or attendance concerns
Typical procedures include patient evaluations, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, family/patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training
New hospital and unit startup environment (rated 5/5)
Dress Code: Light gray scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Florida
BLS certification
Rapid Response Competencies
Physical Therapist experience

Additional Preferences

Adaptability to a fast-paced unit
Ability to function well independently
Previous travel experience preferred but not explicitly required
