Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Spokane, Washington

Job Details

• Position floats between units
• Weekends required every other weekend
• On-call not required
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU level care: 2:1
  • PCU level care: 3:1
• 48-hour shifts approved
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any
• Surgical services/scrubs provided
• Parking: No fee
• Facility type: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Additional Requirements

• Must complete required WorkRamp training modules annually, including:

  • Regulatory requirements
  • Specialty-specific modules for ICU and related roles
  • Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
• Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may be required to float to other nearby units/facilities)
• Epic training modules required and must be completed as assigned
• State-specific background and registry checks as required by Washington state law

Schedule & Work Environment

• ICU setting with critical care patients
• Floating between units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Use of Epic electronic health record system
