Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Salem, Virginia (Roanoke area)
Employment Type: Travel

• Unit: Blue Hills FSED, Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 8
• Daily Staff: 6
• Day Shift Staff: 2 RNs, 1 EMT, 2 mid-level RNs
• Night Shift Staff: 2 RNs
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Equipment: GE
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

• Care for critically ill patients in the Emergency Department
• Manage both high and low acuity ED patients
• Perform medication administration, lab work, and critical patient care
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI), TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No floating required
