Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Must have experience with Emergency Room (ER), Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonates
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Emergency Room (ER) patients
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Experience working with Neonate patients, including NICU/Neonates

Credentialing and Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required and must be carried on assignment
  • Background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search, education verification, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) completed within 12 months and updated annually
  • Fingerprinting must be completed under code 4723.09 (Nursing) and results must be received prior to contract extension
  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
  • State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start for new and extension contracts
  • Physical exam within one year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+)
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen required, updated annually (instant screens not accepted)

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; cannot be completed on a phone)
  • Photo for badge required prior to start
  • References: Two professional references within one year of start from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director (co-worker references not accepted)
  • Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
  • Annual skills checklist and orientation safety manual acknowledgement required

Important Notes

  • Candidates must complete all onboarding modules and have badge issued before starting assignment
  • Fingerprinting results must be finalized before contract extension approval
  • Physical exam does not need annual update if there is no break in employment at the facility
  • Latex allergy notification required if applicable to ensure appropriate supplies are stocked

This position requires a highly skilled CT Tech with experience in critical care areas including ER, Level 1 Trauma, and NICU/Neonates, holding an active Ohio CT license and current BLS certification. Compliance with all credentialing, health, and background requirements is mandatory prior to assignment start.
