Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)
Location: Olympia, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Case Manager Registered Nurse with acute care hospital experience. This role involves working a 5x8 hour shift schedule with every other weekend required (flexible to meet facility needs). Floating between like units within scope is required.
Key Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW), flexible
- Floating: Required within similar units to meet needs
- Local Radius Rule: 50 miles (locals not accepted)
- On-call: Not required
- Acute Care Experience: Required and must be recent (within last 3 years)
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years (acute care hospital experience mandatory)
- First-time Travelers: Accepted if strong experience
- Units Served: ICU, PCU, ED, Family Birth, Adult Medical
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
- Total Staffed Beds: 325
- Charting System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience, with at least 1 year within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Recent inpatient acute care hospital experience within the last 3 years
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Acute care experience
Special Requirements
- Acute inpatient hospital experience is a hard stop; no outpatient or behavioral health candidates
- Floating to other similar units is required to meet facility needs
- Must be able to work in a rural setting with limited resources
- Pending licenses are NOT accepted
- Return to office (RTO) requests preferred to be under seven days notice
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete required facility and system training modules annually, including regulatory and specialty-specific modules
- Passport-style badge photo required prior to start
- Candidates must complete EPIC training modules as assigned
- Physical and health documentation must be current and compliant with facility standards
- Drug screens must be negative and compliant with state and facility policies
This position is ideal for experienced acute care RNs looking for a travel contract role in a rural acute care hospital setting with diverse unit exposure and flexible weekend scheduling.
