Job Opportunity: Nurse – Ortho/Neuro Unit Nights

Job Description

Seeking experienced nurses to provide patient care on the Ortho/Neuro unit during night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM). This position requires working every other weekend and holidays with 12-hour shifts. Travel nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
• Document care according to standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year Med Surg experience within the last year
• Neurology experience
• BLS certification
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holiday coverage.
• May require floating to other units.
