Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Rochester, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Charting System: EPIC experience required
• Floating: Required to float within skillset
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:7
• Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (assigned at time of offer)
• Locals: Registered Nurses within 75 miles are not accepted
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Worked in acute care within the past 6 months
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with EPIC

Additional Requirements

• Background Checks: 7-year criminal background check, including SSN trace, national criminal, sex offender, education verification, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
  • Snellen eye exam within 1 year
• Documentation: Government-issued photo ID required
• References: Two references within 3 years (for certain candidates)
• Employment Verification: Verification of at least two past employments required

Notes

• Must submit scheduling requests at time of application
• The client may cancel up to three shifts during the contract without penalty
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white

This position is ideal for RNs with recent acute care experience who are comfortable working night shifts on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit and have strong cardiac monitoring skills. Prior travel experience is not required.
