Description
Job Opportunity: Case Manager
Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Acute Care experience required)
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Floating: Required to float between like units across hospital campuses
- Locals: Not accepted
- Pending License: Accepted
Required Experience & Skills
- Acute Care experience
- Discharge Planning / Care Coordination experience
- Strong preference for candidates with diverse Case Management experience including Medical-Surgical, Long Length of Stay (LLOS), and Emergency Department (ED)
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
- Current RN license (Washington state or compact license accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred/Additional Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) for ER roles
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) for applicable specialties
- IV Certification (as required)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (as required)
- NIH Stroke Certification (as required)
Work Environment
- Facility is a Level II Trauma Center
- Total staffed beds: 571 (across multiple campuses)
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
- Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2-week period
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Case Management experience of at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Acute Hospital Case Management experience
- Discharge Planning experience
- Acute Care experience
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with floating policy (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Background checks and verifications required, including:
- Comprehensive background check within 90 days of start
- Education verification
- State-specific searches as applicable
- Health requirements include:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and screenings (e.g., TB test, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine)
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 12 months of start
- Respirator clearance for respirator use (annual)
- Fit mask testing (annual)
- Completion of required Workramp modules and facility-specific training prior to start
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work in multiple hospital areas as needed.
- Pending licenses are accepted, allowing for quicker start times.
- This is a travel contract position; local candidates are not accepted.
This position is ideal for RNs with at least 1 year of acute care and case management experience who are flexible, enjoy diverse clinical environments, and are interested in travel assignments.
